NHW NW Incident at homes in Coventry Road & St Marys Road, Fillongley and Fillongley Road, Maxstoke
Please be aware of the following incidents which have occurred at homes in your area over recent days.
Incident 130 of 20 February
During the late morning of 20 February the resident of a cottage home in Coventry Road, Fillongley reported that they had just ahd a bogus caller at the door saying that they were subcontractors for Severn Trent Water and needed access to the rear of the property.
The callers appeared to be genuine so the resident walked them around the side of the house to look at a manhole cover and then became suspicious and said that it was not a very convenient time to call as they had to go out.
Incident 299 of 20 February
At around 6.35pm on 20 February the residents of a cottage home in Fillongley Road, Maxstoke arrived home to find a burgundy coloured Peugeot 405 (partial registration G4) reversed up their driveway.
The drivers door of the vehicle was open and there were no lights on. The vehicle quickly made off.
Incident 154 of 24 February
During the morning of 24 February offenders forced open the doors of a brick built outhouse at a home in Coventry Road, Fillongley and entered the building to steal a blue generator.
Incident 35 of 21 February
During the night of 20 into 21 February offenders smashed a rear window at a home in Fillongley Road, Maxstoke and entered the premises to steal a sat nav. The offenders also stole a lawn mower from the garage.
This happened at the same premises where the Peugeot 405 was seen and the vehicle and its occupants are believed to be involved in the burglary.
Incident 130 of 24 February
At just before 11am on 24 February the resident of a home in St Marys Road, Fillongley returned home to find a male offender, dressed in dark clothing hin her home. The offender had stacked items ready to be taken and was attempting to steal the residents car. Once he realised that he had been spotted, the offender made off across fields at the pack of the property.
The offender is described as a white male in his early twenties, around 5ft 7in tall with short black hair. He was wearing a hoodie with the hood up and dark trousers.
Please remain alert, on the lookout for suspicious persons, vehicles or activity around your own or neighbouring homes and please report anything of concern to Police on 101. Thankyou.
