Please can we make you aware of the following incidents which occurred at the homes of elderly people in the North Warwickshire area yesterday, 11 December.

At 10.30am a male bogus caller, claiming to be from the council, called at the home of an elderly person in George Road, Water Orton. The male claimed that he was checking the guttering. The resident of the house did not let the male in.

The male is described as white, tall, thin and was wearing an anorak.

At 10.20am, also yesterday, a bogus worker called at the home of an elderly lady in Watton Lane, Water Orton, claiming that work was required on the driveway.

The lady allowed the male into her home but the lady had a visitor so the offender did not steal anything. The offender is described as a white male in his 30's, quite tall and slim with dark hair. he was dressed very smartly and had no accent. The offender drove off in a white van.

At 10.50am, again yesterday, a daughter went to visit her elderly father at his home in Hollyland, Shustoke and found him with a male visitor.

The visitor claimed to have previously done work on the guttering of the house, which he had not. The male is described as white, around 6ft 2in tall with a medium build. He was smartly dresses with dark hair and was wearing a cap and a navy or black zip up jacket.
