Richard Twist is the Special Sergeant for the South Forum team and is proactive in dealing with, and preventing crime. Richard has been based at Coleshill for several years and dealt with many incidents and uses his experience in passing on his knowledge to his team.
John joined West Midlands Police as a Special six years ago. He has been awarded a Quality Achiever's Award as part of the Neighbourhood Team he was in at the time for the efforts in tackling ASB problems, also an individual Award for his conscientiousness and dedication as a Special Constable. He has received other awards for his assistance at an attempted suicide and at an incident of serious disorder for his actions in preventing injury to a colleague. For a short period he was appointed as Acting Section Officer (Acting Special Sergeant) to head up a small team of eight Specials in the Shirley Neighbourhood Team. He enjoyed this role very much and hopes that in the future he can do this role once again. Last year, John decided to apply to transfer to Warwickshire and he is very glad that his application was successful. John's full-time job is within West Midlands Police and the skills he has as part of that job have stood him in good stead in his role as a Special Constable.
Ruth has been a Special Constable at Coleshill for several years and has been proactive in dealing with crime in Coleshill and the surrounding beat areas.
I have been a Special Constable since 1982 and enjoyed that time at Coleshill and hope to continue to do so in my current role as Specials Chief Inspector whilst juggling a busy work and family life.
I have been a Special Constable since December 2010, I really enjoy committing my spare time to make a difference with Warwickshire Police and hope to progress my career with the police in the future.
Ellen has been the Community Police Officer in Coleshill for the last 20 years and has been involved in many aspects of the development of the town. A huge part of her role has been dealing with and preventing crime and disorder in the vicinity, this will continue to take up much of her time.
Philip covers the Fillongley, Maxstoke, Shustoke, Packington, Astley and the M6 Corley Services Beat areas. He patrols all of his beat areas and keeps in regular contact with local residents, Neighbourhood Watch members and the local Parish councils. His role is challenging and rewarding especially when problems are resolved successfully, Phil says, "It is always good to meet the local residents and build up confidence with the public."
Hayley joined Warwickshire Police in March 2009. She has spent just under 2 years covering Coleshill Town with PCSO Jane Owen. Hayley now covers the Arley and Ansley Beat.
Jane joined Warwickshire Police as a PCSO in October 2006 and was initially stationed at Bedworth where she worked until August 2008. In September 2008, Jane moved to Coleshill Police Station and her beat is now Coleshill Town. Jane has found the job varied and both challenging and rewarding. She mostly enjoys being out and about on the beat meeting the local residents and dealing with any problems or issues that may arise. Jane initially joined Warwickshire Police as a Police Constable in November 1974 where she served eight years before leaving to start a family. She has thoroughly enjoyed coming back to Warwickshire Police in the role of a PCSO.
