UPDATED: Suspected burglars arrested, Leamington Spa
Incident 64 of 11 July
Police arrested two males aged 23 and 22 years old from Leamington Spa on suspicion of a burglary in St Mary’s Terrace, Leamington Spa that occurred at 9am on Wednesday 11 July.
The householder called the police after returning home at 9am to find a small window at the front of the house had been smashed. As she opened the door, she heard the sound of glass smashing at the back of her home and ran back out to the pavement.
Officers arrived very quickly and after searching the area, arrested the two men.
Officers are appealing for witnesses who saw anyone running from the area or acting suspiciously nearby.
A laptop and other items believed to belong to the householder were recovered by officers nearby. Jewellery including cufflinks were also stolen.
The two men are currently in police custody where they are awaiting questioning.
