Warton Nethersole School - Road Safety Talk
School Pupils Receive Road Safety Talk.
From the North Warwickshire North Safer Neighbourhoods Team
On Wednesday 28 March 2012, Atherstone Police Community Support Officers, PCSO 6154 Mike Harle and PCSO 6098 Simeon Hodson attended Warton Nethersole's Church of England Primary School to deliver a talk to the pupils regarding road safety. This was in response to a concerned local resident informing the PCSOs that they had witnessed school children running straight out into the road without looking. Head Teacher Mrs S. Bostock had also heard from local residents of a similar incident and was extremely happy for the road safety message to be put across to all her pupils. PCSO 6154 Mick Harle said, "It is very important to be able to deliver messages such as Road Safety, to young children with the support of local schools. Keeping in touch with pupils, staff and local residents, helps to strengthen relationships within the small village community."
