Two Arrested - Theft of Cable, Birch Coppice Industrial Estate
On Tuesday 08 May 2012, security officers at the
Birch Coppice Industrial Estate, Dordon, informed police that two males, with shovels were digging up cable to the rear of one of the industrial sites on the estate. Officers attended the scene to search for these males, and were assisted by PC1687 Paul Painter and PCSO 6154 Mick Harle from the Atherstone North Safer Neighbourhood Team also attended the area, and using their local knowledge walked over a number of fields and detained the two males as they tried to make their escape from the police. The two males were detained and arrested for going equipped to steal, after they were recorded on the site's CCTV system, which showed both males had attempted to dig up the cable on the site. Special Constable 3409 Diana Greatrix, and PCSO 6198 Sarah Mander and PCSO 6231 Ashley Wynder both from Atherstone East Safer Neighbourhood Team supported officers investigating this incident.
