Police in Nuneaton would like to hear from anyone who witnessed an assault on a woman in Dark Lane, Bedworth on Friday night.

The 41 year old woman was walking down a garden path from an address at around 6pm when as she turned on to the pavement she was surprised by two people dressed all in black who stole her handbag containing approximately £300.

The thieves were both approximately 5ft 8 – 5ft 9inches tall, dressed all in black, including black balaclavas. The woman fell to the floor as they attempted to wrestle the bag from her, and one of them raised his fist as if to strike her, before they managed to steal the bag and run off along Dark Lane towards Robinsons Road.
