High Visibility Patrols - Mancetter, Particularly Brook Walk and Rec areas - Completed June 2012
High Visibility foot patrols in Mancetter, particularly around the vicinity of Brook Walk, Shops and all recreation areas. Engage with the public to offer reassurance and reduce the fear of crime. Agreed police activity is 30 targeted patrols.
Results as presented at the June Forum
Since the prioroty was set in February nearly 80 targetted patrols were made to the area. That is well in excess of the 30 agreed patrols. The patrols were largely focused to the Church Walk and Brook Walk areas including local businesses and recreational areas. Emphasis was placed on evening and night times.
During the patrols the following actions have been completed
Partnership working with North Warwickshire Borough Council regarding concerns at Gramer Court
Resources and work directed at tackling the graffitti issue in the area
Positive action taken against youths begaving anti-socially at youth clubs
Continued engagment with local businesses and member of the public in the area
It was decided at the June meeting that there is no further requirment for this area to remain as a priority.
