Team leaders
PS Fildes joined Warwickshire Police in 1987 and served the first 4 years at Nuneaton before moving to reactive duties at Atherstone in 1991. On promotion to Sgt in 2000, Roger was posted to Bedworth as a reactive Sgt before moving back to Atherstone in 2001. Now responsible for the East and North SNT in North Warwickshire, Roger is committed to promoting partnership working to deal with locally identified issues.
Team members
PC Smith has worked for Warwickshire police for the past 8 years, working 3 years reactive at Nuneaton and 3 years as the local officer for the Camp Hill, Grove Farm and Stockingford areas. He is now a member of the SNT team covering the Hartshill area, for which he has been doing for the past 2 years.
Gary started his career as a Police Officer in Essex in 2002 where he was given a Commendation for saving a females life by catching her from second story of a building. In 2006 he joined Warwickshire Police as a reactive officer where he once again was awarded a Commendatoin for saving a female who drove her car into a Lake. He has been the CBO for the Ansley Common, Ansley Village, Arley and Whitacre areas since December 2006.
Paul joined Warwickshire Police in 1990 as a Special Constable where he worked at Nuneaton for 3 years. He then worked in the force control room for 13 years before joining Warwickshire as a regular in February 2005. Paul was initially based at Bedworth as a reactive officer before moving to Atherstone SNT team in July 2007 to cover the Hartshill area supported by PCSO 6073 Steele. Paul does a lot of work for charity including marathon running.
Theresa joined Warwickshire Police as PCSO in February 2007. She is currently working on the Polesworth East Team until 26 November 2007, dealing with antisocial behaviour problems. Together with PCSO Harle she has been involved in setting up a drop in centre at the Polesworth International Language College which enables pupils to come and talk to someone in confidence.
Matthew joined Warwickshire Police 3 years ago as a PCSO initially covering the Arley and Polesworth areas. He now covers the Hartshill area dealing with community issues including anti-social behaviour. Matthew is a keen fitness fanatic and with his knowledge and expertise is working along side the youth workers for the Hartshill area coaching rugby at the local high school.
41 year old Simeon joined Warwickshire Police in October 2006 as the PCSO for Ansley Common, Ansley Village, Whitacre and Arley. Previously he worked in distribution and prior to this he was a proffessionial footballer playing for West Bromwich Albion, Notts County and Lincoln City. His proffessional aims are to work to the best of his ability and enjoy his work. Amongst his ambitions is to get his golf handicap to scratch.
PC John Finney has been a Community Beat Officer for Atherstone for the last two and a half years. Since taking up this position, nuisance youth incidents have fallen. Working in partnership with other agencies PC Finney has reduced the number of incidents of nuisance motorcycles in several areas.
Esther joined Warwickshire Police in August 2002 as a PCSO initially covering the Hartshill, Arley, Ansley areas tackling different issues such as antisocial behaviour, underage drinking etc. Esther was awarded the NHW award in 2005 and the Citizen focus award in 2006 for the work carried out in her role. She now covers the Atherstone Central and North areas which offer her different challenges.
22 year old Alicia joined Warwickshire police as a Special Police Constable at 18 years old and has worked for Atherstone Police since joining. Alicia says she joined as a volunteer because she wanted to put something back into the community and get an insight into the proffession that she hopes to join; as a full time officer in the near future.
