Police appeal for witnesses to Nuneaton assault

Incident 43 of 2 June 2012

Officers are appealing for witnesses to an assault that occurred at approximately 2am on Saturday 2 June 2012 as a man in his 30’s was walking home from a friend’s house along Church Road and onto the Frensham Drive Estate in Nuneaton.

At the junction of Merlin Avenue and Frensham Drive, he was approached by four unknown males. One of the males punched him causing him to black out and fall to the ground.

He woke up a few seconds later dazed with an unknown male pulling at his jeans pocket in what is believed to be an attempt to steal cash.

The males then ran off in unknown direction.

Any witnesses to the assault are please asked to contact PS 507 Paul Speddings of the Central Safer Neighbourhood Team at Nuneaton Police Station on 024 7664 1111 or independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
