Update - area around Oakley Wood and crematorium re-opened

Police have lifted a cordon which was in place in an area around Oakley Wood near to the crematorium after moving a forensic search to two nearby locations.
The search is in connection with a reported sexual assault which is believed to have occurred in the area in the early hours of this morning, Saturday June 23 (see previous press release).
Inspector Steve Beard said: "I would like to thank members of the public for their co-operation this morning when we had to refuse them access to the crematorium and woods. The cordon has now been lifted from that location and anyone wishing to visit the crematorium or the woods is now free to do so."
Officers continue to investigate the sexual assault which is believed to have occurred after a female was driven to the area from Leamington in a car containing three males, said to be of Asian appearance.
