Members of the Warwickshire Youth Parliament have been invited to attend the next Police Authority meeting on Wednesday November 18, to help increase engagement with young people.
The meeting will begin at 1.45pm, at Shire Hall, Warwick, but from 1.15pm, youth parliament members will be given the opportunity to put questions to the Police Authority Chair, Ian Francis, and the Deputy Chief Constable of Warwickshire Police, Andy Parker.
The members of the youth parliament will then sit in on the first hour of the meeting to gain an understanding of the topics discussed.
Ian Francis said: “Warwickshire Police Authority welcome the opportunity to hear the views and opinions of members of youth parliament and for them to gain greater understanding of the work undertaken by the Police Authority.”
DCC Andy Parker said: “Gaining the views of young people can only assist Warwickshire Police in further protecting communities from harm. We hope members of the youth parliament will find this meeting useful, providing them with greater insight into the work carried out by the force and authority.”
