What is the role of a Safer Neighbourhood team?

Safer Neighbourhood Teams will focus on local priorities, using all available powers to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour. They will work to reduce crime and disorder and prevent it from happening. They will also investigate crime when it does happen. Teams will perform all local policing duties and support other areas of the force when they are needed.

Teams will work in partnership to achieve confident and safer neighbourhoods in Warwickshire by:

  • being visible and accessible to the community
  • listening to the concerns of the community
  • working with communities and partners to tackle the concerns
  • being open and honest in dealing with expectations
  • providing feedback on progress
  • being accountable for their actions.
